Golden West Service, based in Brooklyn by way of San Francisco, was formed by poet Matt L. Roar in 2008. The project embraces an eclectic and dreamy style based on punk, noise, hip hop and folk sensibilities. Over the years GWS has performed alongside acts like Little Wings, Ty Segall, Sonny and the Sunsets, Howardian, and Ninjasonik.
